Weddings and Events

Raymond Village Florist offers a full complement of floral design services for weddings and showers alike, including:

  • Ceremony arrangements
  • Ceremony accents, including ring pillow, flower girl baskets, pew decorations, bows, live garland, etc.
  • Bridal and bridesmaid bouquets, floral hairpieces
  • Boutonnieres and corsages
  • Table centerpieces, place settings, toasting glasses, and napkin rings
  • Reception décor, including gift table, cake and cake table, guest book stand, columns and mirrors, and railings and staircases

Consultation & Booking

So that we can prepare in advance and devote the time your wedding consultation deserves, we ask that you call at least one week ahead to schedule a sit-down consultation. Because of travel time and associated scheduling conflicts, all consultations are now held only at our retail location in Raymond, Maine.

Please see our "Checklist for Brides" below and, if possible, print and complete this form and bring it with you to the consultation.  For the consultation itself, it is also very helpful if you are able to bring the following items with you:

Each of the above are very useful in giving us an overall idea of your style and color scheme, as well as the extent of your floral needs in terms of the size of the wedding party, number of family members who will need flowers, etc.

While we have decorated for weddings in many area churches and halls, it is also helpful to see any pictures of your ceremony location if you are considering floral decorations for the altar, pews or facility entrance.

Similarly, please let us know the location of the reception, as we have worked in most area hotels, inns, and other facilities in the area and are familiar with the nuances of each.

Following the consultation, we will prepare a detailed written estimate based on your input, needs and preferences.

Please note that the time of year of your wedding can have a significant impact on floral costs, as some flowers are more expensive at certain times of the year due to seasonal availability (or lack thereof) and adjacent holidays such as Valentine's Day or Mother's Day.

Should you select us as your wedding florist, booking your wedding with Raymond Village Florist requires a deposit of $100.00 or 10% of the estimated cost (whichever is larger). However, weddings held on a holiday weekend (e.g. Labor Day, Independence Day, etc.) require a deposit of one-third the estimated total. All deposits are, of course, applied to your order. Unless special arrangements are made ahead of time with Raymond Village Florist, the remaining balance must be paid at least one week prior to the date of your wedding (two weeks if payment is going to be made by out-of-state check). Deposits and final balances may be paid by cash, credit cards or by personal or business check. Please note that the initial booking deposit is non-refundable.

In terms of timing, we typically book well in advance of the wedding date but cannot hold dates more than 12 months ahead of time unless special arrangements are made with the management of Raymond Village Florist.

Funeral & Sympathy

While arrangements are most commonly sent to the funeral home for display during services, more and more of our customers are sending condolences to the bereaved person or family's home (either in addition to or in lieu of flowers for the viewing or service).
